October 1, 2001: This news item marks the end of Little Nero, which occured sometime in mid to late July. However, Penfold has returned! In addition, you can check out Mike, Graham, and Owen in The Fantastic Spastic Elastic Band. Also, Matt has been recording some solo work, with the help of Owen on drums, and will be starting a new band shortly, as well. So, from all of us at Little Nero, we bid you a fond farewell.

May 4, 2001: Couple of brief news reports to . . . report. First, as can be found on the front page of the site, the band now has its own e-mail address for anyone who wishes to reach them for booking or comments (let's make that "compliments.") Also, there is now a link on that same page to the recently formed jazz combo, Closed for the Season, which includes former Sifter guitarist Jared Gulick (did I spell that right?) Finally, there are tentative show ideas and possibilities for the summer. These include (and remember these are very tentative!!!) a possible benefit show at Riverside park with a few other bands, some unbooked, surprise, acoustic appearances at Nevin Park, and )just maybe, if your good) a brief two-week tour with No Blitz. None of these are set in stone, in fact none of them are even down on paper, yet. But, they are in cyber-space for you to think about. Keep thinkin'.

April 2, 2001: The band would like to thank everyone who came out to see us this past Saturday night at EAHS Saturday Night Live. We really had a good time and, what Owen deemed as "Our First Good Show." Your generous attention and applause were greatly appreciated and we hope to have some new shows to report about soon. In the meantime, our 5 song EP demo has been fully recorded. All that remains is the process of mixing, in which we should hopefully enlisting the talents of Mr. Jeff Wortheimer (hope I spelled his last name right.) If all goes well, we will definitely have it ready by summer. Our sincerest apologies for the delay. Well, until next time!

Area High School this upcoming Saturday evening, for their SNL presentation. Please attend, we beg of you.

February 19, 2001: The past weekend saw a long needed practice that featured some great versions of "Presence of the Prime," "Elevator Music," and several other songs including the Penfold classic "Much Better!" It may be the only time we ever play that song, but it was quite enjoyable and may start a resurgence of playing old Penfold tunes. Then again, it may not.

January 29, 2001: The continuing revamps to the site . . .uh . . . continue. Check out the new pictures posted in the picture section. They offer a big hint as to a new cover song being attempted by El Nero. They ROCK!!!! The pictures do, at least.

January 15, 2001: Welcome. Welcome to 2001: A little Nero Oddysey. Our story is much like the universe, unfolding on schedule (pronounced "sh-ed-you-el.") Well, in actuality, it's somewhat belated. However, four of the five tracks for the Brand New Wave EP Demo are now recorded and finalized. Also, a note regarding the last post, Plato's Ramblings is not one of the tracks included on the EP. In its stead is "The Clock Has Run." Look out for an lN show sometime in March. More news on that to come . . .
